Fundraising and how to support Rise & Shine
Rise & Shine is a volunteer charity, not a publicly funded organisation. We rely on the fundraising efforts of our volunteers and donations from the community to finance all our activities. All funds raised go directly to benefit our special young people.
The young people whom we support become our guests and as such their pilgrimage holiday / friendship week is fully paid for by Rise & Shine. Separately, our volunteer carers, nurses and doctors pay for their own trip. This is at the heart of Rise & Shine and it also ensures that maximum value is gained from all funds raised to benefit our special young guests.
How to help us continue our work
Here are a few ideas:
Make a donation
Become a volunteer – as one of our volunteers you can join in on any of our fundraising events, for example: Bag Packing, Coffee Mornings, Easter Egg Raffles, Table Quiz, Tractor Runs, Spinathons, Walks, Church Gate Collections, etc.
As a volunteer you can create your own fundraising event and might be able to obtain matching funds from your company in support.
Purchase a ticket / tickets for our Rise & Shine raffles. For more information, please get in touch
Join / support our ‘Cycle to Lourdes’ fundraising event
Remember Rise & Shine in your will; this is a very personal contribution for which we are immensely grateful for and hold in deep respect.
Create your own Fundraising Event
Got an idea of your own?
If you have signed up to be part of our team of volunteers, you can organise your own fundraising event. From Coffee Mornings to Tesco blue tokens – all ideas welcome!
Anyone undertaking a fundraising event for the Rise & Shine Trust, please let us know in advance. Thank you.
